About the Author
Tina Louise Spalding began channeling Jesus during the summer of 2013, when he appeared in her book Great Minds Speak to You. It proved to be a great challenge not only to accept the assignment he offered her -- writing this autobiography -- but to also face many of the fears that this unusual experience brought up. Tina has been asked to channel for Jesus on an ongoing basis, and she intends to provide public offerings of his teachings in the future.

Telling it how it is... or was

I had been having questions about the life of Jesus, and I ran into some videos of Tina Louise Spalding. She channels Jesus and many of the things she talked about seemed much more true than what I had been thought in church and from family and friends. I follow the teachings of Buddha and I believe in something like Cosmic Intelligence, or the Laws of the Universe, but since I have been raised Roman Catholic, I always run into one or two issues that deal with the Catholic faith. The book definitively deals with Jesus' life, appropriately starting before conception, and past his crucifixion. But he doesn't just stop telling us the story of his life. He also takes the opportunity to impart his teachings, not the RC church's teachings, as well as explaining the laws of the Universe.

This book is best understood if you are familiar with New Age terms like law of attraction, past life, incarnation, channeling, abundance, etc. Also, Jesus touches controversial topics like death, sexuality, abortion, drugs, Mary Magdalene, immaculate conception, etc. This is not a mainstream read or biblical study material, instead it is a rebel yell to make you wake up! A very good book indeed.

This book was amazing. Thank you Tina Spalding for being brave enough to share this information. I was so curious and knew there was so much more to the life of Jesus. This book contained many of the answers I was in search of and provided answers to questions I did not even think to ask. If you are curious about the life of Jesus this book has the answers. I recommend it to anyone in search of the truth.

It's so refreshing to finally get more of the truth. After having read the Bible cover to cover multiple times, I've noticed that there is so much conflicting information. I had so many questions about what Jesus' real purpose was on Earth, and this book answered many of them.

Bill Madonna has been a PGA teaching professional for 30 years and is currently the director of instruction for the National Association of Golf Coaches and Educators (NAGCE), which he also founded. Madonna is a teaching consultant for the National Golf Foundation and serves as the national golf coach for Bermuda. He has also owned and operated the Bill Madonna Golf Academy since 1975.

Madonna has earned the Teacher of the Year award and has been chosen by GOLF Magazine as one of the Top 100 Teaching Professionals in America for the last three years.

He and his wife, Bonnie, live in Orlando, Florida.

Wish they would update it!

I haven't made it through this whole book yet, but so far it has been pretty helpful. It's about 15 years old, so some things are outdated, but there is still a lot of very useful information in it. If you're a golf coach, I definitely recommend buying this book.

A Good Read for the New Coach

I've been coaching golf at an area High School for a few years. It is one of the most rewarding jobs I have ever had the pleasure to perform. It is often true that, as a coach, you will have to work with a student who golfs better then you do. In such circumstances, what do you say? How do you coach these kids? How do you get them to play their best game?

As a coach, you have to be able to reach every kid on the team. If your not a scratch golfer (I'm not), the only way to reach every kid is to increase what you know about the game. For me, that means spending the winter reading golf books, looking for wisdom, information, practice drills, all those things that serve as keys to successful coaching.

This book provides a quick start guide to people who are just starting to coach students in golf (the reason for only three stars - I need more). Many of the lessons are intuitively obvious to those of us that have been coaching for a while or who have read a number of golf books. The advantage to the new coach reading this book is that it gives a detailed picture of what they need to be doing at every level ... structuring your golf program, safety/liability, recruiting/retaining, fundraising/costs, practices, and getting players to excel at both the physical and mental game. The book makes it sound easy. It's not. It's work ... work that I love to do.

The book presents a number of useful examples and forms that can make your first year a whole lot simpler. It is a great place to start to develop your own golf program.

This book has a lot of good ideas. Some are more for coaching at a higher level. I am a high school coach at a school that gets mostly beginners and was still able to get some good ideas from it.

a little disappointing

Unlike many decorating books, the text of this one is worth reading. The authors offer some good insights & advice. Unfortunately, I find some of the photos rather unappealing, even to the point of looking grungy.

About the Author
Karl Edward Wagner (1945 - 1994) Karl Edward Wagner was born in Knoxville, Tennessee. He earned a degree in history from Kenyon College in 1967 and a degree in psychiatry from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Despite this training, Wagner disliked the medical profession and abandoned it upon establishing himself as a writer; his disillusionment with the medical profession can be seen in the stories 'The Fourth Seal' and 'Into Whose Hands'. As well as being a multi-award winning author, Wagner was a highly successful editor and publisher of horror, science fiction and heroic fantasy, creating a definitive three-volume set of Robert E. Howard's Conan the Barbarian fiction, and edited the long-running and genre-defining Year's Best Horror and Fantasy series. Wagner is perhaps best known for his creation of the long-running series of stories featuring Kane, the Mystic Swordsman. He died in 1994.

The best book of an excellent series of "Kane" books

All 3 novellas this book are excellent reading. The first, about a werewolf's attack in a snowbound castle/hunting lodge is the closest I have ever seen any fantasy author get to true mystery tales of Sherlock Holmes/Arthur Conan Doyle calibre. Next is an action-filled bounty hunt where "good" confronts evil. A moral study and a ripping sword and sorcery yarn woven into a mesmermizing tapestry. The last is a chilling tale of lust and vampiric possession. The emptiness this tale leaves behind is trademark Karl Edward Wagner ("Never Dessylyn" and "Last Song of Valdese" are other fine examples (Night Winds)). After years of re-reading these tales and discussing them with friends, I still cannot decide upon a favourite. Wagner's skill in describing action realistically, mystery tantalizingly and weird occult phenomena in a way that tingles are showcased in each story of this book, his crowning masterpiece of dark fantasy. If you can get your hands on a copy, pay any price. You'll enjoy reading them many times. Get the other KEW titles first (Darkness Weaves, Dark Crusade, Bloodstone and Night Winds) and save Death Angel's Shadow for the grand finale. You'll be wishing there were more stuff that was even close to this good...

A must read for all fantasy fans...

This book and another Kane book "Night Winds" contain some of the best short stories and novellas ever written in the fantasy form in my opinion. I've managed to collect most of the out of print Kane books over the years and wouldn't sell for just about any price. Kane is a far better example of the "anti-hero" than Michael Moorcocks Elric that there really isn't any comparison. This particular book has 3 fantastic stories, and though I agree with the prior reviewers that the 2nd is probably the best, I also rate the 1st and 3rd among my all time favorite fantasy short stories. All-in-all, this is required reading for any fan of the fantasy genre.

Wagner, a gifted man, and I'm not talking about the composer

A great writer involves your mind to such an extent that you lose track of time and space. You no longer are aware of anything around you. Eventually your body rebels from lack of food or sleep, you look up and realize you have to go to work in three hours. Tolkien did that to me, so does Wagner. All the other heros/anti-heros of fiction seem effete by comparison. The Werewolf story in Death Angels Shadow is the best Werewolf story ever. Why no one has made it into a movie is beyond me. I'd love to see Ridley Scott or James Cameron do it.

An extremely useful and entertaining guide to Koh Samui

We just didn't know where to start when planning a trip to Samui, but after reading The Koh Samui Guide I felt like I already knew the island. This is a wonderfully entertaining, informative and well written guide. It's a bit like meeting up for coffee with a travel savvy friend who knows Koh Samui REALLY well and is happy to chat with you about it for hours.

I love the way they cover not only all the practical aspects of the island (transport, when the stores open, how to hail a taxi etc.) but also the cultural etiquette in Thailand (something that other guide books don't seem to touch on very much, but is clearly essential).
We'll be taking those tips on board I can assure you!

Great book. Fabulous. And clearly written by people who know Koh Samui very well. Will read it again before I go to Thailand.

Kaitlyn's Vendetta

This third book in the IFICS series doesn't disappoint. Kaitlyn continues to learn about humanity and how to blend in as well as becoming a better super-soldier fighting crime. In this book, Kaitlyn goes outside of her "assigned cases" and finds a personal connection to a local serial killer attacking teen girls. As Kaitlyn puts herself in the line of danger as a target, she will need to fight the clock to save the Dollhouse Killer's next victim.

The writing is riveting and you will have a hard time putting this one down. The plot is thick with suspense and so much fun to read. I was sad when it came to an end, but I look forward to future tales from Kaitlyn's life.

Sooooo suspenseful! Loved it!

Wow!!! Edge of your seat thrilling ride! This is the first book I have read of Julia Cranes and it was an absolute pleasure! I read each page just wondering what was going to happen with the Dollhouse Killer. Kaitlyn is a mastermind with a special talent. Not only do we hear her views, but we also hear the murderers pov. As the story unfolds you are sucked in and hooked. I read this in one sitting. I could not put it down. I will definitely read more from this author!

I can't get enough! This series has an awesome story line that keeps me hooked page after page. In this 3rd book Kaitlyn continues to grow into herself and embrace her enhancements while at the same time learning who she is as a human. This series is interesting and refreshing. There is an obvious bond and love between Kaitlyn and Lucas, but you are not bombarded by sappy or over sexualized interactions. I love the IFICS series and look forward to more.

About the Author
Becky is a freelance writer and cultural critic living in Portland, Oregon. For Lonely Planet, she has written about Seattle and the Pacific Northwest, the Great Plains states of the US, parts of England and Wales, and n primarily n Sweden. Becky grew up with a thick book of Swedish fairy tales illustrated by John Bauer, so the deep black forests of Norrland hold particular fascination for her. Hiking through them, she's alert for trolls and tomtes (which, to the untrained eye, look just like big rocks). Though raised in the mountains of Colorado, Becky has been exploring Sweden since childhood, while visiting her grandparents and other relatives in Stockholm and parts north. She's thoroughly hooked on pickled herring and saffron ice cream but has nothing good to say about Swedish beer. About ten years ago, having exhausted the potential of the role of copy editor at an alternative weekly newspaper in Portland, Becky spent the requisite year bumming around Europe on the mega-cheap. This did nothing to quell her urge to run off exploring new places every couple of months; quite the opposite. She has since spent time roaming around in Wales, Scotland, Ireland and England, Beijing, Panama, Mexico, and most of the US. GOOD BUT NOT AS COMPREHENSIVE AS OTHER LONELY PLANET BOOKS

I bought the current editon of LONELY PLANET CYPRUS when I made my plans to visit Cyprus. A few weeks later, this new edition was released so I also purchased this version. This new version had a few improvements and changes. There were more useful pictures. The pictures in the previous edition were not inspiring. Also, there were changes in the format such as the accommodations section was no long included with each city listing but rather they were all lumped together at the back of the book. I did not like this change since it meant flipping back and forth between the city information and the accommodation listing.
Although, there was plenty of useful information in this book, I felt it was lacking on several levels. The authors seem to feel that the ONLY way to see Cyprus is by car so they skimp on information on Intercity and local buses and other ways to see the country. I had to get the information on my own. Pafos especially was full of day tours offered for the entire country. It would have been good to have some guidance and direction ahead of time on where to look for tours.
I found myself seeking out information on my own more than with other editions of LONELY PLANET. The small maps included were not as detailed as I would have liked. I chose a hotel in Pafos based on the recommendation of LONELY PLANET. I was more than pleased with the hotel but I had trouble finding it based on the map in the book.
The LONELY PLANET guides are my favorite travel tools. I was a bit disappointed in this edition and for once found myself relying more on the EYEWITNESS TRAVEL GUIDE that I also brought with me.

DIsappointed Lonely Planet Fan

I'm a Lonely Planet fan and didn't think twice about grabbing this guide. Unfortuantely, I was incredibly disappointed by the guide. I've used Lonely Planet guides frequently for navigation purposes, but they were insufficiently detailed for my trip. The restaurant recommendations for Pafos were abysmal. Thinking I was in for a quaint local fish restaurant, my cab dropped me off at a dump that sold over priced, overcooked fish, passing up several interesting looking restaurants on the way. The hiking guides were not organized in a way that was condusive for planning a quick day hike, leading me to just skip it. Restaurant recommendations in Nicosia were outdated, limited, and unimaginative. I'd recommend checking other guides out before using this one.

Pretty much the expected stuff from Lonely Planet

I've traveled with quite a few LP guides and this one is pretty much within the brand's standards - lots and lots of info, not so much focused on sights and superficial tourism, and with some good suggestions for off track exploring. Quite a bit of stuff about North Cyprus, too - I'd really like to get to Girne/Kyrenia some time. Also, they have good background info about the North-South conflict, in case you are interested - I certainly am.

Of course, there'll always be details that are "in the eye of the visitor". I don't care much for stuff like the Rock of Aphrodite; of course, you can't just leave it out, but I do like when LP writers are critical about certain over-appreciated sights.

However, I liked the Ireland Kindle guide I got in that it had Google Maps links for all locations besides the mostly useless Kindle maps. The most useful maps on the Amazon device (probably different on a DX, though) were those split in 4 parts that you could zoom in, and that was sort of readable (I forget which guide that was in). The PDF maps compensate for that somewhat, although I haven't tried them on my device, where pretty much any PDF is hard to read. You probably need a laptop or a better tablet to use them, or, well, printing them would also do

Also, there's something of a section mismatch - in "Itineraries", "One week - Relaxing in the Republic" is the same as the previous one ("One Week - Essential Northern Cyprus"), so people looking for a quick plan for a week in the South might be disappointed :).
